Having never been to Xerocon, the Yak Pay team was both excited and a touch nervous about what to expect at Australia’s most anticipated cloud accounting conference.
Sure enough, Xerocon was an awesome experience, and was the perfect stage to launch Yak Pay, our newest payment platform accepting Visa and MasterCard B2B payments.
The Xercon 2019 Experience
With more than 2,500 delegates representing accountants, bookkeepers, exhibitors, finance representatives and even some investors, Xerocon 2019 was buzzing from the moment we set- up to the final drink at the festival-style wrap party.
The Xerocon 2019 team was so supportive leading up to, and throughout, the event; helping us to feel welcome and ensuring we were able to make the most of every business building opportunity. They set our expectations to expect about 200 leads and gave us tips on how to follow up the leads following the conference.
Situated in the payments corner with some big players like Pay Pal and Square, we though we better do something special to stand out. And what better way to do that than to introduce the carnival spinning wheel and make “everyone a winner” of our merchandise (t-shirts, USBs and notepads)!
It was the perfect icebreaker and enabled us to generate almost 400 leads over the 2 days. Working closely with the Visa team who were Gold sponsors of the event, we were able to pitch the Yak Pay message to many of the delegates at Xerocon, and all our merchandise was given away amongst a lot of fun.
Xerocon 2019 Highlights
We launched Yak Pay, excited new customers are joining the herd, accountants and bookkeepers are signing up to the referral program, and the Yak Pay movement has begun.
Thanks Xerocon; we’ll be back and so will the Yak Pay wheel ☺
